Clochán - Bridge of Tears Pendant

Bridge of Tears

"Droichead na nDeor, the bridge of tears, Cloughaneely, Co. Donegal. It was at this bridge that many Donegal emigrants said goodbye to their families. The pendant serves as a symbol of the strength of family"

The pendant hangs on an 18" / 46cm chain

Sterling silver pendant handmade in Ireland by Annie Quinn, part of her Clochán: Stories in Stone collection.

This collection, inspired by "the ancient stone walls, castles and dwellings of Ireland crafted by generations of local people and how they have become one with the landscape."

Both earrings and pendants in this range are an unusual and beautiful combination of chunky shapes and delicate appearance, its faceted surface of silver "stones" catches the light attractively over both rough and smooth surfaces.
