    About Sliding Rock

Rob D'Eath has been involved with clay since being inspired by the rugged beauty of Korean Ceramics in a museum in Jakarta, Indonesia. He still relishes the opportunity to throw on the wheel and create series of functional ceramic objects.

In recent years, he has experimented with sculptural form in clay and these experiments have, in turn, informed his practice.

He opened Sliding Rock Contemporary Ceramics in 2006 with the aim of promoting the wealth of talented ceramic artists that live and work on the island of Ireland.

Rob also teaches ceramics in the Art and Design Department of GMIT.
